Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre will hold an audition for professional male dancers to participate in their 2018 Nutcracker Season.

Auditions will take place during Open Class on Thursday, August 16 from 10:30-12:00.

Accepted dancers will be contracted for the rehearsal and performance period running November 5-December 23, 2018. Compensation commensurate with experience.

Please bring headshot and resume. Open Class fee will be waived.

Project 31 Seeks Artists and Apprentices for it’s 2018-2019 Season.

Artists & Apprentices must be available for company class and rehearsal Sundays between the hours of 11:00am-3:30pm September-June.

Artists & Apprentices will participate in two Project 31 produced concerts as well have numerous performance opportunities. Dancers & Apprentices also have the opportunity to participate in a yearly full company photo shoot. Artists may be offered paid teaching opportunities.

Artists: Versatile dancers with strong ballet and modern technique and the ability to find boldness and vulnerability on stage.

Apprentices: Teen dancers that meet the above criteria and have the maturity to work in a professional environment. Apprentices must be training a minimum of 4 hours per week outside of rehearsal and company class.

Join Boston’s original tap dance company! Headed by director Sean Fielder (Bring in da Noise, Bring in da Funk), we perform around Boston and the surrounding areas, host master classes, and collaborate with various local performance groups around Boston. Occasional paid performance opportunities available. Dancers of an intermediate/advanced to advanced/professional level are encouraged to audition.

Dance Prism’s Nutcracker Touring Cast performs in five cities over four weekends and rehearses at Dance Prism’s West Concord rehearsal studio on weekends.
Those seriously interested in the Touring Cast should attend the Concord auditions. Regional casts perform in one city only and rehearse locally once weekly; please see website for specifics on regional cast auditions. Auditions open to all ballet-trained dancers age 7 & over, casting unrelated to studio affiliation. No fees are charged to dancers at any time, and limited stipends are available to dancers of professional level. Auditions are in four levels; please see website for level specifics and timing. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your level to register and warm up; there is no warmup in the audition.

9:15 On-site registration and sign-in (top of stairs in the Dance Complex lobby)  Registration continues throughout the day.

Warm up space is available from 9:15 a.m. – 3 :30 p.m. in Studio 4. Please come to audition classes warmed up and ready to dance.

11:15 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Modern/Contemporary (first of two**)   with Kurt Douglas

12:45 p.m. – 2:00 p.m  Modern/Contemporary (second of two**)  with Kurt Douglas

**Participants may only take one Modern/Contemporary class
