We offer two unique summer intensives.
The Summer Dance Program is a five-week, pre-professional boarding and day intensive designed for the serious dancer. In this comprehensive ballet-based program, students take daily classes, including pointe and variations, modern, jazz, men’s technique, character, Pilates, and TRX Suspension Training. Students also learn about related topics such as injury prevention and stage lighting. Our faculty is comprised of world-renowned educators who have enjoyed careers as professional dancers. The program culminates in a repertory performance open to family and friends.
Our three-week Summer Youth Dance Program, specifically designed for younger dancers, offers small classes and three placement levels to maximize opportunities for individual attention. Youth Dancers experience a full range of classes—ballet technique, pointe or pre-pointe, variations, modern, jazz, and yoga—taught by a faculty of world renowned dance educators. We are hosting auditions for our 5th season of dance! To be eligible for our TEEN company, you must be 13-19 years old (Parental/Guardian Permission required) and have at least 3-5 years of highly proficient tap dance training. We are willing to accept any number of teens company members who exhibit great skill and passion for the art of tap dance. Teen Co members will not be paid regularly for rehearsals or gigs, but may receive a stipend for performances on certain occasions.
Adult Company members (19+) will receive stipends per gig, negotiated with the director on a gig-to-gig basis.

Urbanity Dance 2019 Summer Dance Intensive: Worcester
About the program
Urbanity’s summer intensive is a rigorous three-week program based in Boston’s historic South End. Students receive 6-8 hours of daily instruction in ballet, modern, and contemporary technique as well as supplementary courses in in jazz, partnering, musical theater, improvisation, hip-hop, and repertory. The program culminates in in performance opportunities at the Boston Contemporary Dance Festival alongside professional dancers and choreographers from across the nation. The 2019 program will run from July 22nd – August 10th.
About the audition
The audition incorporates aspects of ballet, modern, jazz and contemporary techniques. Intermediate to Advanced dancers ages 11-24 are encouraged to audition. At the audition, options will be given for various ages/levels. All are welcome, and Urbanity is known for creating an encouraging, welcoming atmosphere. *Pre-registration is recommended
Pantos Project Dance Audition
We are currently seeking female and male dancers. A BFA degree is strongly suggested but not required. Dancers must have exceptional contemporary/modern technique, be versatile, and exhibit an athletic abandonment with an artistic approach towards movement.

Urbanity Dance Professional Company Audition 2019-2020
We are seeking male and female dancers with diverse movement backgrounds and a variety of skills.
The audition works as a class, including ballet tendu, pirouettes, a modern release combo, leaps across the floor, improvisation exercises and a final combination. The combo will highlight Urbanity’s style, weaving fluid release “gooey” technique, with the ability to fiercely hit notes of choreography with specificity and attack. We’re looking for wow-factor appeal and open-minded willingness to create. Finalist will be asked to learn additional phrase work, and/or perform a 1-2 minute solo. Please bring music and prepare ahead of time.
Company classes and rehearsals are September through May on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays from 10am-2pm. Pay for the the season is $5,000-$8,000.

Winter Wonderland Charity Gala Performance Audience
Are you interested in dancing for a cause?
Our dance company Fortitude Dance Project, Inc is holding a gala in January to raise awareness for Mental Health and Substance Abuse. 50% of the net proceeds go to To Write Love on Her Arms.
We are interested in having dance companies/studios audition to have a meaningful piece take part in our gala!
To apply please send in the following:
Please send us at least a 1:30 piece of your dance. Please keep in mind the maximum length for each dance at the gala is 3 minutes long.
You will fill out an application via Google Forms available on our website 8/31/18.
Please send us an application fee of $66. Half of this fee goes to our partnered non-profit To Write Love on Her Arms and the other half goes towards the actual event itself.
