LaPierre School of Dance located in Reading Mass. is looking for a motivated, upbeat, responsible and experienced tap and jazz teacher to instruct our Intermediate and Advanced levels for our 2016/2017 season. Melrose Youth Ballet, a non-profit community based ballet company is looking to fill the position of “Artistic Director” for its 2016 Nutcracker season. In its 22nd season, MYB casts over 200 dancers each September for its annual Nutcracker production. The vast majority of roles are filled by dancers age 8-18 through open audition. Cast is comprised of dancers from various dance studios/ballet establishments in the Greater Boston area. All dancers who audition receive a role. Select lead and principal roles are danced by hired professional guest artists who vary from season to season.
Position is for current season, September ’16 to December ’16. Nutcracker performances are Friday 12/2 to Sunday 12/4. Compensation for this position is a contracted salary, not an hourly wage. Nutcracker season is 10 weeks long. Salary is based upon candidate’s experience and is negotiable.
