KAIROS will be accepting 4 Dancers for the ’22-’23 Trainee Program:
KAIROS Dance Theater’s Trainee Program provides pre-professional and professional dancers the opportunity to hone their craft as performance artists by working intimately with KAIROS Dance Theater.
The Trainee Program is an 8-hour per week, 10-11-month educational experience that consists of 2 semesters (September through December & January through June/July) during which time trainees take company class, rehearse, perform, and create alongside KAIROS Dance Theater’s main company. Trainees engage directly with KAIROS directors, dancers and choreographers throughout the program. In addition to training in dance technique and improvisational modalities, trainees learn to craft and compose inside an inclusive, collaborative process and community. Trainees also receive, mentoring sessions, access to a network of teaching jobs and dance-related employers, access to special workshops and guest artists and more.
