“Blood on the Veil” is a whirlwind monologue-in-movement that combines humorous and insightful storytelling with the mesmerizing art of bellydance. The riveting one-woman show has been called, “spectacular…transcendent …mesmerizing,” and “a must-see for every woman who has struggled with self- image…” The show features local dancers appearing as guest performers in solo and group choreographies. Brooklyn native Carol Tandava Henning has performed internationally as an actor, director, writer, producer, bellydancer, theatrical improviser, and comedienne. The acclaimed performer unites these skills in her poignant, compelling and wickedly funny solo theater show, which explores themes of feminine empowerment, body image, and the transformative power of dance.
