  • Please note, you must be 18 years old to participate.
  • Each class limited to 35 participants.
  • Choreographers and company directors must be current members of Boston Dance Alliance in order to receive follow-up information on participants.
  • Outside observers are welcome.

 

10-11 Ballet with Tai Jimenez

Tai Jimenez was a principal dancer with Dance Theatre of Harlem and a principal with Boston Ballet. She has appeared as a guest artist with New York City Ballet , on Broadway, and with other companies across the United States. She has graced the cover of Pointe magazine and was profiled in Dance Teacher magazine. Her writing has appeared in Pointe and Dance Magazine. She teaches at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

 

11:15-12:30 Modern Session A with DeAnna Pellecchia*

*Dancers are limited to one modern class

DeAnna Pellecchia is artistic director of KAIROS Dance Theater and creates works for the stage, natural landscapes, and nontraditional spaces. A graduate of Roger Williams University, she currently serves on the dance faculty at Boston University, Boston Ballet, Simmons College and The Dance Complex. DeAnna has toured nationally and internationally with her own work and the work of Paula Josa-Jones / Performance Works, Kinodance Company, and Anikaya Dance Theater, among many others.

1-2:15 Modern Session B De’Anna Pellecchia

 

2:30-3:30 Jazz Dance with Victoria Kickham

Victoria Kickham taught at the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, and for Boston Youth Moves. She has studied with renowned Neill and Lynn Simonson, and incorporates principles of the Simonson Technique—an anatomically aware approach to movement—into her adult and teen classes.

3:45-4:45 Hip Hop Dance with Ricardo Foster, Jr.

Ricardo Foster, Jr. is founder and CEO of Unyted Stylz Productions and US Crew. His choreography has been seen from Sesame Street to the Xbox Kinect video game franchise “Dance Central.” Working and performing with artists ranging from Jay-Z, Usher, Britney Spears, NSYNC, En-vogue, Uncle Cracker, and Beyonce to old school classics like Naughty by Nature, Wu-Tang clan, and RUN DMC, he “has seen it all.” A Boston native, Ricardo teaches at Dean College.
