Join Marsha Parrilla and the BCA, in conversation as we explore gender perspectives and ways that choreographers and dancers tackle gender issues through dance and performance. Marsha, Director of Danza Orgánica and founder of We Create, annual festival that showcases work of self-identified women, will also share her findings of the lessons she learned from interviewing ten prominent choreographers in the Boston and NYC area including  Peter DiMuro, Marcus Schulkind, Jean Appolon, Diane Arvanites, Nicole Pierce (now residing in NYC), Yo-el Cassell, and Tony Williams.

Boston Center for the Arts’ community-led conversation, Martha’s Artist Salon is a place for Boston area dancers and fans of dance to connect and engage in productive discussion about performance-based art of the past and today.
