Boston Center for the Arts curates a series of innovative and site responsive music and dance-based performances throughout HUBweek’s public spaces October 10-13th at Boston City Hall Plaza. Working with non-traditional instrumentation, improvised dance, sound installation, and more, these performances will feature a selection of BCA’s resident dancers and musicians pushing our understandings of movement and sound in new directions.

Wednesday 10/10 7:00-9:00pm
Boston Center for the Arts brings together two of our resident artists for this mash-up/pop-up of dance and music, Connections Dance Theater and alt-chamber composer/vocalist/harpist Audrey Harrer. Both artists will feature excerpts of their new work that will be developed throughout their residency season at BCA. Connections Dance Theater will premiere moments of Hot Water Over Raised Fists, a work sparked by the struggles of indigenous people at Standing Rock and the scramble for clean water in Flint, Michigan. Audrey Harrer shares excerpts of Lavender, her multi-sensory musical performance that will premiere at the BCA in Spring 2019.
