Join Mar Parrilla and Claudia Elena Varela, artists of Danza Orgánica, in this four-part workshop series in collaboration with Berkshire-region community partners Larry Spotted Crow Mann (Ohketeau Cultural Center), Dennis Powell (NAACP Berkshire County Branch), Anaelisa Jacobsen (Manos Unidas Multicultural Educational Cooperative), and Shirley Edgerton (Rites of Passage and Empowerment program, ROPE Berkshires).

This collaborative process includes facilitated community conversations and co-created responses to social justice themes emerging in our Berkshires communities. Dance for Social Justice™ workshop operates within an antipatriarchal, antiracist, decolonial, and feminist framework.

Open to Berkshire-region community members, artists from all mediums, and those invested in social justice themes concerning the Berkshires region. All levels welcome! Ages 12+. Movement experience not required.

Participants will be compensated for their time and active participation.
