Evans’ approach to Bartenieff Fundamentals and applied kinesiology as a preparation for dance technique. Guided investigations of developmental movement patterns, which serve as images to allow adults to move with total body coordination and integration. Exploring the articulate body and discovering heightened awareness and increased efficiency. For dancers of all levels and ages.
11:45 – 1:00, Dance Technique and Pedagogy
Evans’ approach to teaching dance technique at the intermediate and advanced levels. The application of concepts derived from Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies to contemporary dance technique. Becoming a stronger, more musical and more expressive artist. Will include guided improvisations and excerpts from Evans’ choreography.
