“Don’t sickle your foot!” “Lift your arches!” How many times have we heard these common corrections in class? But what exactly do these cues mean? And how can we strengthen our feet to help meet the demands of ballet? Join us for a workshop focusing on the feet and dance technique. In addition to looking at common cues, we’ll include exercises for strength, mobility, and release to help you improve ballet technique and reduce the risk of foot pain and injury.

Created and co-taught by Sarah Giarrusso (ballet instructor) and Rachel Prabhakar (Pilates and Alexander Technique teacher), this 1.5-hour workshop is appropriate for dancers at all levels. With two instructors and a maximum of eight students, there will be opportunities for individual attention.
