Boston Ballet’s Nutcracker is moving from stage to screens in a special television network presentation Saturday, November 28 at 7 p.m. on NBC10 Boston and continues on NBC and NECN through Christmas Day. The hour-long version of a production taped in 2019 features narration by “Today Show” anchor Hoda Kotb and Colton Bradford from “Boston’s The Hub.” And yes, your kids can still wear their tiaras while watching.

Anthony Williams’ City Ballet of Boston production of Urban Nutcracker streams four times between Saturday November 28 through Christmas Eve. This updated version of the story, featuring more than 150 performers – local children and professional ballet dancers —  blends Duke Ellington and Tchaikovsky’s scores, and ranges from classical ballet to hip hop and flamenco for a holiday twist.
