GLASS WALL MASTER CLASS with JOE GONZALEZ
Prometheus Dance is back in session starting with our GLASS WALL SERIES MASTER CLASS with JOE GONZALEZ
Born and raised in Boston Massachusetts. Joe Gonzalez started dancing at the age of 13 at the
Roxbury Center for the Performing Arts, later becoming an honors academic dance major at the
Boston Arts Academy. Joe has participated in programs such as the Boston Conservatory summer
Intensive, American Dance Festival, Bates Dance Festival and SpringBroad Danse Montreal for two
sessions. Joe’s diverse accomplishments paired with the many styles he embodies from Funk, to
Improvisation, to Contemporary have established him as a thinker in movement arts and academics
which has in turn, has created space for the making of choreography and physical discovery. He has set
works at Bryn Mawr College, Philadanco, Jo-Mé Dance Theatre, and is currently on dance faculty at
Temple University. Gonzalez received his BFA from The Boston Conservatory and has performed in
works by several Guest Artists. His own choreographed work was also presented in Conservatory
showcases. He has traveled the US and internationally as a current performing artist with Philadanco
(The Philadelphia Dance Company), with Anna Myer and Dancers, and Prometheus Dance. Gonzalez has
recently performed with Putty Dance Project, #DB.danceProject, Dance IQUAIL, and Waheed Works .
Joe continues his work as a choreographer and co-Executive Artistic Director of Jo-Mé Dance Arts Inc.
