Boston Dance Alliance is delighted to welcome Carmen Rizzo as our new Operations and Membership Associate! Carmen, a native of Brazil, is an active dancer and teacher in our community, performing with Kairos Dance Theater, Holly Stone, and Grant Jacoby and teaching at Pure Barre and studios across the Boston area. Having earned a degree at Manhattanville College with a dual major in dance and business management summa cum laude, she has a range of talents that will help BDA take its next post-pandemic steps!
We also bid a fond farewell to Miranda Brown. Miranda joined BDA in the early days of the pandemic lockdown, working remotely from Brooklyn, and her problem-solving and organizational skills helped BDA navigate perhaps the most challenging time in our history. We are so grateful, and know that as she continues her dancing, yoga, and arts administration life in New York we will continue to hear great things about her activities!

Cirque du Soleil takes to the ice in Crystal, turning the Agganis Arena on the Boston University campus into an unseasonably frozen playground full of artful skating and aerial feats. The engagement begins June 1 and runs through June 12.
#HELLABLACK Live Mixtape – Pride Edition BCA’s interdisciplinary live mixtape highlighting black artistry returns after two years for Pride! Audition for Kairos Dance Theater Registration deadline June 1 KAIROS is seeking dancers, apprentices, trainees and class fellows for the 2022-23 Season. Join Katie Pustizzi for a “Liquid Spine” Improv Class & Jam. This is a space for you to explore your unique movement language via flowing, floating, rippling, and other water-inspired movements. OnStage Dance Company is currently accepting applications for their 2nd annual, OnStage 360°! This event is a performance series of work performed in the round. Their last show featured works from over 15 dance companies and choreographers from the Greater Boston area. Providence College Deptartment of Theatre, Dance, and Film seeks experienced choreographer(s) for fall guest artist residency leading to November performances. Rehearsal dates: mid-September through mid-November, approximately 3 hours/week, days/times TBD. They are especially interested in choreographers who work in African diasporic forms including vernacular or contemporary jazz, rhythm tap, or West African dance.
