Today, April 1, 2020 we are happy to announce the launch of the Boston Dance Alliance Dance Relief Fund to support dancers, choreographers, and dance teachers in any dance genre who have lost income from paid rehearsals, performances, and teaching assignments due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Boston Dance Alliance’s Dance Relief Fund will disburse stipends of $250 to assist with immediate basic needs.
The fund will disburse grants on a first-come, first-served basis until April 15, 2020 or until all donations are exhausted. A second round of grants may be announced after that date.
The Boston Dance Alliance Dance Relief Fund supports individual artists. Applicants must reside in the Greater Boston metropolitan community as defined in The Boston Foundation catchment area and will be asked to affirm that they have an individual annual income of no more than $50,000. Apply here
This initiative is made possible in part through the support of The Boston Foundation, The Aliad Fund, and Robert and Iris Fanger. Additional funding is urgently needed. Please donate here
