The Summer Immersion Project (SIP) is a rigorous training experience for motivated dancers, ages 18 and older, to learn BDT repertory. During SIP you will study, rehearse and perform with co-artistic director Jessie Jeanne Stinnett and the dance artists of Boston Dance Theater.
Each morning SIP participants will take BDT’s daily company technique class taught by current Core Members. Afternoon sessions will focus on learning BDT’s current repertory. On the last day of SIP there will be an informal sharing during which participants will present the work they have learned to a closed audience of friends and family.
Upon completion of the program SIP participants may be considered for positions within the Trainee Program or Company. On the final day of SIP 2025, BDT will be hosting an Open Call Audition for roles within the company.
