Souls of India presents Aikya – a Sanskrit word meaning union – portrays the harmony of different types of Indian art forms. The show gives you a taste of how traditional performances are performed all over India. The evening starts off with an invocation of the gurus – or teachers- of the dancers followed by traditional Indian classical dances namely Kathak and Bharatanatyam with live music. Then we present two of Rabindranath Tagore’s captivating musicals danced traditional Rabindranritya (Tagore’s style dance). We end the night with Kirtana – chanting of the Vedas. Join us for an evening of music, dance, and drama.
