Camille A. Brown & Dancers
Camille A. Brown & Dancers is a Bessie Award-winning, New York City-based dance company founded in 2006. The company performs at national and international venues, and creates stories and dialogues about race, culture, and identity, blending elements of modern, hip hop, african, ballet, and tap dance to tell stories that connect history with contemporary culture. Camille A. Brown is a four-time Princess Grace Award winner, a Ford Foundation Art of Change Fellow, a Jacob’s Pillow Dance Award winner, a Guggenheim Fellowship recipient, and a TED Fellow. The company’s Celebrity Series debut engagement will feature excerpts from Brown’s critically acclaimed works including Mr. TOL E. RAncE, Black Girl: Linguistic Play, Ink, and one of the company’s signature pieces New Second Line.
