Join artists Reggie Wilson and Michel Kouakou of Reggie Wilson/Fist and Heel Performance Group for this welcoming workshop as part of the 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival.

Community Shouts are joyful, participatory sing-alongs that invite people to connect with their rhythmic voices, bodies, and one another. Through songs, rhythms, and storytelling from Africa and the African Diaspora — including the Caribbean and the American South — participants explore shared traditions and cultural connections.

This free community workshop is open to all abilities; ages 18+; participants aged 12-17 may attend if accompanied by a participating adult. Comfortable clothing is recommended.
