Pictured dominantly and diagonally across the graphic is large wooden rolling pin against a golden background; below across the bottom of the page are two dancers standing separately of each other, with a red haired white woman on the left looking toward a silver haired African American woman, her hands clenched near her forehead. Both appear to be mature dancers in dark dance togs in a woode panelled room. Language asks the viewer if they would roll in the name of art on March 15th; two logos for Public Displays of Motion and Sleeping Weazel appear to the right of the rolling pin.

Peter DiMuro/Public Displays of Motion, along with Sleeping Weazel, is seeking an intersectional/intergenerational humane humans to explore “rolling”. All ages, all backgrounds, all body types are needed. Movement will developed in a min workshop and filmed in one session in the Hyde Park section of Boston on March 15th, 2026, 1pm 4pm. Register here:

Scheduled call/arrival time of 12:45 and a start time of 1pm. Filming will end no later than 4pm. Filming will take place in the Hyde Park section of Boston, close to commuter rail. There is no compensation to rollers.

The film shoot will include very humane and positive reinforcements of the multiple relationships we have with others: rolling, hugging, reaching out to connect. It should be a rewarding experience, especially if you encourage friends and family you want to “roll” with to join us.

Our commission to you as a roller is to take part in a workshop like experience that will be filmed. You will always be in charge of your own bodies, and we ask you to take responsibility for your body by being aware of its limitations, both physically and emotionally. Asking for close proximity to others and touching others will be asked of you; you are in charge, though, of how you want to paricipate. Respect for others is a requirement.

Peter DiMuro/Public Displays of Motion is a intergenerational and inter-sectionally focused group of collaborators that has created works for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Rose Kennedy Greenway and often includes circle of people beyond their core numbers in the making/performing of a work.
