Dance BFF, featuring Rupa Datta, Rutuja Patil, Isha Magavi, Vaishnavi Parasarthy, Shany Rajagopalan, Kunjal Patel, and Manjiri Kulkarni, works towards bringing awareness and experience about Indian dance as an art form in greater RI cultural communities and among the state’s young people. The group is a hub for Bollywood and Indian dances in the Ocean State whose dancers bring together the various moods and flavors of dances from different regions of India using colorful costumes synchronized steps, and upbeat music.
For the fifth year, Mayor Jorge O. Elorza, the City of Providence’s Department of Art, Culture+ Tourism and founding partner FirstWorks will host PVDFest, Providence’s signature art festival, June 6-9, 2019. Providence’s world-renowned art, culture and culinary community join forces with artists from around the corner and across the globe to deliver a once in a lifetime experience.
