Invisible Imprints
Presented by Cambridge Friends School Community Event
Invisible Imprints is an hour-long theater piece that relies exclusively on spoken word, music, hip and hop and modern dance to give audiences an opportunity to “feel” first and analyze second. In other words, it was created to pull on the emotions of the heart as much as thinking from the brain.
Under the directorial leadership of choreographer Anna Myer and Jay Paris, the dancers combine with three of Boston’s finest poets to explore the difficult parameters of what divides us but also what is available beyond anger and victimization to what we share in common. Each performance is followed by a facilitated discussion between the audience and the cast by an expert on racism.
