Innovative, transformative and daring, Salomé: Woman of Valor is the culmination of five years of work by Grammy Award-winning composer/trumpeter Frank London and poet/performer Adeena Karasick. This “spoken word opera” features live music, poetry, dance and video, that refutes misogynistic and anti-Semitic interpretations of Salome and recaptures her rightful place as a powerful revolutionary matriarch. Dancers are Rebecca Margolick and Jesse Zaritt, punctuated with the show-stopping shout-out to Loie Fuller, choreographed by Jody Sperling.
