BoSoma Dance Company celebrates its 15th Anniversary Season with classic repertory and the debut of Katherine Hooper’s newest work, Tapestry. Experience the adrenaline infused and emotionally charged choreography as interpreted by BoSoma’s fiercely talented dancers. Katherine Hooper’s choreography of Tapestry was recognized for its spatial design, intricate patterns, and sequence of dynamic and athletic movement when it was first performed 21 years ago. This choreographic style remains the signature of BoSoma today. In collaboration with local North Shore costume designer, Jennifer Greeke, Hooper’s work is conceptually revitalized and enhanced with new movement, music and costuming. As tapestries are composed point by point, the visual field of a tapestry is grainy, and has to be. Every stitch is like a pixel but piece by piece, layer by layer, the art emerges and the emotion is felt. Experience wonder as the dancers and costumes bring a tapestry of life to the stage.
