Tony Williams Ballet and Symphony Nova
Symphony Nova and Tony Williams Ballet Company have partnered to present a lively evening of chamber music and dance, combining new dance works choreographed by three local dancers with instrumental-only selections. The original choreography and soaring classical music selections are juxtaposed by the intimate Gothic architecture of Old South Church. The collaborative performance with Symphony Nova will feature three new dance works. Choreographer Adam Miller created a new work to Gershwin’s Lullaby, Colleen Edwards set a piece to Mozart’s Oboe Concerto, and Gianni di Marco plays tongue in cheek with Mark O’Connor’s Appalachian selections.
