Up In Smoke
MEDICINE WHEEL is an epic work of art created by visual artist Michael Dowling. Produced annually in conjunction with World AIDS Day, MEDICINE WHEEL is the largest recurring site-specific public art event in Boston. It exists as a 24-hour vigil to commemorate the tragedy of the AIDS epidemic.
KAIROS Dance Theater will open the 2018 vigil with a world premiere site-specific performance at midnight on Friday, November 30th. This year we are thrilled to collaborate with violinist Emily Stewart and guitarist Steve Molter, who will perform live original music for the premiere of “Up In Smoke”. This event is free and open to the public. We hope you can join us for this important and poignant event. Doors open at 11pm at the Cyclorama on Tremont Street in Boston; performance begins promptly at midnight.
