Variations on Make Way for Ducklings
Dance Prism recreates the Boston of the early 1940s in its production of Variations on Make Way for Ducklings, a recollection of Robert McCloskey’s beloved tale of a Mallard family’s traffic fraught journey from the Charles River to the Public Garden. The ballet surrounds their voyage with the sounds and sights of the city in the war years; sailors and soldiers, swans and swing dancers accompany their travels. Featured dancers include Caitlin Klinger, Matt Tucker, Alex Roy, and Jonathan Towle. All patrons are invited to meet the principals for “An Un-Common Afternoon” with balloons, cotton candy, and other surprises following performances.
