Meet Thaddeus Squire, Commons Officer of CultureWorks Commons Management, to learn more about CultureWorks’ approach to a “management commons” and share your insights about the Greater Boston arts & creative communities.

If you are not familiar with CultureWorks, they describe themselves this way “We are an intentional community of cultural creators and preservers dedicated to the power of resource sharing. Our mission is to provide arts, heritage, and creative practitioners equitable access to the resources they need to flourish. We offer a flexible and affordable array of integrated services, focusing on human capital, systems, policies, best practices, and a shared nonprofit umbrella.”  They have established CultureWorks Philadelphia (https://www.cultureworksphila.org), are working on an independent affiliate office in Houston, and, along with their national funding partners, are currently exploring other cities and regions to establish additional locations in the coming years.

Are you trying to figure out how to better support and manage your own organization or art practice?  Are you interested in learning how artists in other cities are advancing their work?  Do you need access to expertise like accounting, marketing and fundraising? Do you believe there are better ways to share and distribute resources in the arts and creative communities?

If so, we invite you to join us for one or more of these open conversations with Thaddeus while he is in town:
