The City of Beverly hosts two “Summer Salsa in the Park“ events in Lynch Park on Wednesday, July 13, and Wednesday, Aug 24, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Participants can learn the basics of salsa, or practice their moves. The evening starts with an hour of instruction given by Yaya Rodriguez, founder of the Cultura Latina Dance Academy in Lynn. Then on to social dancing to Latin tunes provided by DJ Franklin Condori. Participants are encouraged to come on their own or with a partner. No experience necessary.

Lilphunk Dance Company Auditions Phunk Phenomenon is hosting annual auditions for Lilphunk, Boston’s premier hip hop kids’ dance company. Lilphunk is the Boston Celtics official junior dance crew performing during time outs and half-time shows. They are also back-to-back gold winners for The USA hip hop championships at Hip Hop international. Audition is Saturday, July 16, 2 PM at 1886 Revere Beach Pkwy, Everett.
The federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Arts Programs for Justice-Involved Youth funds programs that support and strengthen collaborations between arts-based organizations and juvenile justice systems to develop, expand, or enhance effective interventions that provide access to high-quality art programs with and for justice-involved youth.
