Suggested Attire

Please wear footwear that you can pivot in easily (baby powder will not be permitted) but that isn’t so slippery that you’ll be sliding around the floor. Socks, jazz shoes, ballet slippers, dance sneakers, and other flat dance shoes all can work. Heels are not recommended as Brazilian zouk is most commonly danced in flats and the workshop will not discuss technique for dancing zouk in heels.

As an advanced dancer trying a new style of dance, you appreciate the importance of foundation, but beginner classes are often both way too slow and not nearly deep enough. It can also be challenging to figure out which aspects of your existing technique apply in the new style and which are different in the new style. This workshop is designed to address these challenges.
